This is something I have been wondering about but didn't find an answer to.

I will travel to Thailand on a 60 day tourist visum, but I know I will get the

extra month extention from immigration at 1900 baht.

I did this last year (because I had to, my residence in my home country was under

renoviation and couldn't be finished in time, so i had to stay one month longer.

At first a slight state of panic, but the extention at immigration went very smooth.

However I had a return ticket for a flight after my 2 month stay. So I went to the

office of Thai Airways and they gave me a later flight but charged me about 6000 baht

for this.

Ok... I want to stay 90 days again next year (60 day tourist visa + 1 month extention)

I don't want to be pay the 6000 baht again for changing my return flight ticket so....

When I book a ticket, do I chose a return flight on the 60th day or the 90th, I mean

do I immediately book a flight with return date 90 days later ? WIll this give a problem

anywhere ? Because this is already a kind of "premeditated" extention with a return

fight indicating 90 days instead of 60 ...

Thank you

Some embassies and consulates will want to see a ticket of the country when you apply for the visa. Many will accept a ticket out within 90 days from entry. If not you could buy a one way ticket to a nearby country ticket on a low cost carrier for less than 2000 baht to satisfy their requirement of 60 days.

For your flight to here or on entry you will not have a problem with a flight out 90 days from entry.
