Can I leave and re-enter with Non-O Visa?

Recommended Posts

I entered with a Non-Immigrant O (single entry) on November 19. I cannot apply for the retirement extension until at least January 19. Can I leave and re-enter before that date on my current visa. ie can I purchase a reentry permit. My son is having his own business visa problems in China and has decided to get married at the beginning of January to solve them. lol They've been together for a few years so not totally out of the blue except for the timing!

You can get a re-entry permit which keeps your permission to stay (until 16 February) alive.

And it is advised to do so, because also your "Non O visa status" is kept alive which avoids further complications compared to a simple 30 day visa exempt entry.

Yes. You can get a re-entry permit at immigration offices or at the airport for 1,000 baht.

Where in the airport can you do this? How long does it take? Do you need a copy of a flight out or any other paperwork?

It depends upon the airport you leave from.

At Suv the re-entry permit desk is just before the departure immigration desks.

At Don Mueang it is just after the desks.
