Phuket on high alert as officials keep eye out for IS threats

Featured Replies

Rigorous screening as adopted by Israel's El Al airline is proven to reduce risk.

Those who oppose the El Al methodology are the usual "wets" who reject "racial profiling" and other means of detecting those with Malign intent.

Governments like to keep their citizens in a state of terror threat.

True.

He will be using this as another reason for his total control of the net via his single gateway and why the military should stay in control forever.

I am enjoying my trip to Thailand so far, and my Thai family has been good to me as always.

I guess I will not be going to Phuket, or anywhere in the south, as they are

being cautious this year. Prachuap will be the furthest south I will be on this

vacation, so Hope I stay away from where ever those so call ISIS jerks are at.

I was on Walking Street last night around 23:00...heavy Police, Tourist Ppolice and Army presence at the start of walking street...especially in the first 7-11...standing around in the air con 7-11....looking for terrorists......and not a BIB/Army/TP to be seen elsewhere on the the street.....I felt so safe

I think they re entering many countries currently to disrupt Christmas Celebrations.......my opinion only
