December 6, 201510 yr If a person on a 60 day tourist Visa is staying on Koh Chang at the time they want to apply for a 30 day extension where is the nearest immigration office they can go to? Also there seem to be many with the opinion on this forum that you now need to provide a TM30 when you apply for this extension. In this case the tourist in question would have stayed in several places during the preceding 60 days from when they originally arrived in Thailand and would have only have been staying on the island 2 days before the 60 day period expires. Even so is it from that hotel owner on the island that one needs to obtain the TM30?
December 6, 201510 yr why not get the extension early, no days are lost, extension starts the day after permission to stay stamp expires. can do a week or more early Edited December 6, 201510 yr by steve187
December 6, 201510 yr There is no Immigration Office on Kho Chang. The nearest office is, I believe, in Laem Ngop A better plan would be to obtain the extension prior to arriving on Kho Chang.

December 7, 201510 yr Take a receipt of payment for your hotel room with you to immigration. The manager should have filed a TM-30 reporting your presence within 24 hrs of your arrival.
