Chalong Police were notified of the death at 8.50pm last night by a Thai woman, who told police she had discovered the body of her Swiss husband, named as Roland Hermann.

...if she is supposedly the wife....why hide her identity......

...please do a blood test at least......

I have heard that if a foreigner doesn't die in hospital an autopsy is mandatory.

I think that is not correct, and sincerely hope so as well. I really would not want an autopsy done, nor would I want my passport plastered in the media.

I am Swiss, 58 y old blink.png

He is 3 months younger than me from the same canton as me.

Reminds me how quick it can happen.

But I am more afraid to die on the road than on the bed/floor.

The usual unhiding of his ID despite the fact that he might have next of kin not being informed yet.

He died in a hotel called the Safehouse? Wasnt safe for him.

Thai wife says foreign husband died of heart disease , police believe her because theyre also medical experts.

Case closed.

Next.

You have obviously read a different report.

What would a blood test prove in this context?

Probably as part of the autopsy looking for poison?

But really, not every farang with a Thai wife/friend will be killed.

A bit too much paranoia / prejudice in this forum.

I survived 20 years wink.png

They might actually wait till you are dead before they do your autopsy.

I would hope so, yes. But does this add anything to my comment?
