A few years ago stayed at a small place on the riverside a few hundred metres down from the bridge, the bridge was visible from the raft. All I can recall is that it had car parking spaces amongst some cheap bungalows with a small raft affair consisting of, I think, 4 rooms with verandas on the river.

Anybody got any ideas of where it might be and telephone number/website/e-mail address?

You could try maps.google.com and see if you can recognise it.

We are up there from the19th until New Year. Always stay at Good Times Resort which is a couple of kms down from the bridge.

There are many floating raft places situated along the river.

I'm unsure of the one which you describe but I always stayed at Ploy Guesthouse.

I don't think that there are many 'floaters' between the main bridge and the bridge on Sud Chai Road, but hopefully I know someone who will know. Next time you stay in Kanch maybe try Good Times Resort, we stay there quite often and can't fault it. We always book direct with them.
