I have been to PIH on soi 4 and got an "estimate" from them! It seemed exceedingly high. As I cannot get them done through my Insurance, I am looking for advice and it is always best to ask someone who has been for treatment or, at least, can recommend somewhere. DD13 Posted December 15, 2015 Share Posted December 15, 2015 Two years ago I went Bangkok Pattaya Hospital for a varicose vein operation....the operation including recovery was estimated to take three hours, it actually took five hours because the surgeon discovered that the veins were filled with blood clots, which he skilfully removed, saving the vein from being stripped out... The cost was 150,000 baht.......luckily for me, at that time I had medical insurance I can fully recommend BPH........as with everything in life.....you get what you pay Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
KittenKong Posted December 15, 2015 Share Posted December 15, 2015 There are so few hospitals here that I would just go to all of them and get quotes and see how you like their specialists. Then negotiate. I would also check out hospitals in Bangkok. Phyathai is worth looking at, as mentioned. The overcharging/overselling seems to be a bit less blatant there than here. VBF Posted December 15, 2015 Share Posted December 15, 2015 A very good friend of mine was recently in Bangkok-Pattaya hospital with a Pulmonary Thrombosis.
