Out/In crossings at Aranyaprathet border point possible again for a visa exempt stamp?

Featured Replies

I am planning a quick in/out crossing at aranya/poipet border next week. Only had this done previously a year ago twice, however without any issues at that time.

Just wondering if this border crossing is again open for people crossing in and out quickly on their own. Used to do this trip from Bangkok with a visa run company but planning to do it on my own this time.

Currently on a 2nd extension of my double entry tourist visa.

Thanks in advance for any updates.

Nobody with any recent experience?

I am leaving Thailand right after New Years and only need another 12 days, therefore just wanna go for a quick in and out run. Or should I avoid that border and go for another one instead? What do you think?

Thanks for any news.

Where was this posted before? Never seen it on this forum until now.

You can do a out/in crossing at Aran/Poi Pet.

Thanks Ubonjoe.

I thought there was an issue on that borderpoint in days and weeks after Bangkok blast back in August/September, where anybody was only allowed back into Thailand with a valid visa and no visa exempt stamps were issued for some time. BUT maybe it was just a rumour, thanks anyway.

They cracked down on border runners back in September for a while and were not allowing out/in crossings for awhile. In October they started allowing them again.
