NRSA to hold meeting of all reform committees

BANGKOK, 19 December 2015 (NNT) – The National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) will hold a meeting of all its reform committees from December 21 until December 23, 2015 to consider steering plans.

NRSA President Thinapan Nakata has scheduled the three-days meeting to consider proposals earlier submitted by the 11 committees on political reform, administrative reform, law reform, judicial reform, local administration reform, education reform, economic reform, energy reform, public health and environment reform, mass media reform, social reform, sports, arts, culture, religion, moral and ethic reform.

The NRSA meeting will also consider reform proposals from an ad hoc committee on prevention and suppression of corruption and misconducts.

I understand (although I am deeply cunical about the motives for) the juntas interest in "reforming" the first eleven fields on that list, but sports, arts, religion and culture?

Actually on second thoughts, perhaps if you are determined to fashion a feudal society fit for the 21st Century a holistic approach is needed!

Still no intention to reform the military services especially in the area of political interference, performance and why such nmbers are required.

The Steering Committee should consider driving on the Right side of Thai soveriengty. But that wouldn't be "Thainess."
