Oh come on now...you know they want to rule it a suicide. Police can't waste their time on solving murders.

Why is it that only deaths in Phuket, Pattaya, Hua Hin etc are the only ones reported? Bkk has over 9 million people but you rarely if ever, hear any reports of the deaths that happen here?

....the ugliness of it all....

Yes, I've asked the same question previously.

In a country of about 65 million, people die on the roads, and at the hands of others, probably every five minutes.

Why does every death in these tourist places get reported, with such dire headlines, on this expat forum, and not for other cities and provinces?

All it does is give the relatively dim, opportunities to spout their rubbish theories, and throw insults at the places involved.

How about keeping these relatively mundane death reports off the forum and only publish incidents involving foreigners and important news events that may effect all?

PHUKET: -- Police are waiting for doctors to determine the cause of death of an unidentified woman whose body was found floating in a canal on the east side of Phuket Town Dec 21.

The body was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital soon after rescue workers retrieved it from the canal at the Saphan Ruam 1 Community on Sri Sena Rd, Rassada, at 8:20am.

“We believe the body is of a woman who was 30 to 40 years old,” said Lt Col Chana Suthimas Phuket City Police.

“She was 165-170cm tall and weighed 70 to 80 kilogrammes, and dressed in a red shirt and denim shorts. We believe she died at least three days before her body was found by local residents.”

Initial examination of the body by police failed to indicate the cause of death.

“We found only a minor injury on the top of her head. No other signs of injury or assault were found on the body,” Col Chana said.

“Residents in the area said they believe she was not from the area because they did not recognize her and said that they had never seen her before,” he added.
