Thailand hoping to attract wealthier travellers

They may, thru deceptive practices, attract more travelers but surely not " wealthier ' ones !

Upscale travelers want true luxury all around not just inside a 5 star hotel. It is impossible to

leave your room and not witness horrific traffic/sordid street people/trash everywhere/often-gunfire

and scams galore. They go to Monte Carlo/Nice/Paris/Rome/Miami, etc.

Film festivals in Cannes .

Skiing in Aspen

French Rivera .

Swiss Alps

Pattaya and its sewage and jet skis.

Or island mafia and murderers

Or Phuket and Krabi criminals .

Thailand is washed up.

It's stamped Chinese outpost and seedy Indian middle class playground hence on .

It's never going to retrieve what it once almost got.

Respect of the rich.

It's a third world junta run dangerous polluted criminal haunt.

And those there are budget based people at best .

Some can appear rich by Thais standards .

But your 29 million are mainly as trashy as your Pattaya beach on average
