Hi everybody,

I am an Indonesian nationality, I am 28 years old. Currently I am a student hold non-Im ED visa with expiration April 2007. I receive offer for teaching full time in a private university in Bangkok.

To begin teaching I need to change my visa to non-Im B so that the Univ can prepare work permit for me. The employer tell me to do visa change in Indonesia, but my friend informs me that I can do it in singapore instead.

I have a friend who did change visa to non-Im B in Bangkok without return to Indonesia, but it was before Oct 1st, 2006. And I have a friend Indonesian also who change visa from Tourist to non-Im B in KL but it was before Oct 1, 2006 also.

As now I heard there is new regulation per Oct 1st, I have the following questions:

1. can I do the visa change in Bangkok Immigration Office (Suan Plu)? I have contact by phone and I get 2 different answers ????

2. Can I do the visa change in Singapore? What is the requirement and how long it will takes?

I really need this information, so please let me know ....

Thank you very much in advance ...
