NLA President asks all Thais to do good for themselves and Thailand

BANGKOK, 29 December 2015 (NNT) – The President of the National Legislative Assembly, wishes that all Thais would commit to doing more good deeds for themselves and the country.

NLA President Pornpetch Wichitcholchai on Monday delivered a New Year greeting on behalf of the legislature to the people of Thailand.

Mr. Pornpetch said that all Thais should accept the importance of helping take the country through an eventful year in 2016 while joining in special activities to show their loyalty to Their Majesties the King and the Queen as well as other members of the royal family.

The NLA President also urged the people of Thailand to focus on doing more good deeds for others or something new and virtuous for the betterment of themselves, the society and the country.

He said that everyone should adopt the Philosophy of a Sufficiency Economy while living a simple but fruitful life in order to achieve security and joy.

They could start by setting a positive example to follow ,

Well this should instill happiness to all concerned, very motivating indeed..............................coffee1.gif

Have they told this to the police and army, I think not a law unto themselves

All to install more patriottism in their minds. No matter the price others pay. Its keeping the Thai Cultural Mandates well alive.

All Thais do good for themselves and the country while we continue to oppress and censor you and deny you your rights, freedoms, voice and vote.

Do as I say, not as I do!

while living a simple but fruitful life down troden poor life.

Does anyone (particularly the average Thai in the street) really understand what the "Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy" actually is? One definition given by the National Economic and Social Development Board is:-

"Sufficiency Economy is a philosophy that stresses the middle path as an overriding principle for appropriate conduct by the populace at all levels. This applies to conduct starting from the level of families to communities and to the nation in terms of development and administration, so as to modernise in line with the forces of globalisation. 'Sufficiency' means moderation, reasonableness, and the need for self-immunity to protect from impacts arising from internal and external change. To achieve sufficiency, an application of knowledge with due consideration and prudence is essential. In particular, great care is needed in the utilisation of theories and methodologies for planning and implementation in every step. At the same time, it is essential to strengthen the moral fibre of the nation, so that everyone, particularly public officials, academics, and business people at all levels, adhere first and foremost to the principles of honesty and integrity. In addition, a way of life based on patience, perseverance, diligence, wisdom and prudence is indispensable in creating balance and in coping appropriately with critical challenges arising from extensive and rapid socioeconomic, environmental, and cultural changes in the world."

Simple eh :-)
