Can I take a small dog landside?

I'm meeting some relatives who are flying into Suvarnabhumi from the UK.

I have a small dog, who I don't want to leave at home for several hours while I meet them and take them back to my place. Does anyone know if it's allowed to take a dog into the landside terminal to wait for incoming passengers? This doesn't seem very likely - he's not a guide dog, just a family pet - but does anyone actually know?

There is plenty of information on exporting animals but I'm not doing that - it's just a casual visit and would only involve about a 30 minute wait.
