Illegal Foreign Workers caught by Pattaya Tourist Police on Walking Street



PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Tuesday, the Tourist Police conducted an operation on Walking Street in search of illegal foreign workers and arrested a total of 8 foreign nationals who did not possess permits to work in Thailand.

Police focused their efforts on the Endorphin Nightclub and an Indian Dance Hall located next door, at the southern end of the street. 2 Burmese, 1 Filipino, 2 Iranians, 1 Syrian and 2 Pakistan Nationals were arrested along with the Manager of both venues, Khun Worawoot.

Working illegal is not an issue of the world or for Thailand, everywhere there are some one make better life, sometimes we have to pity for them leaving their country and come to work here.

But arranging fake passports for terrorists is bad. Some are agents. That is a major problem!

Last night the wonderful Thai police were set up right under some Russian dancers.....mere metres away. Will they heck have a work permit to work as dancers in a bar??

The Russian girls were targeted last week so presumably their papers are all now in order.

BB......I still wonder how they can possibly get a work permit.....that is presuming they have one......to be a bar dancer in Thailand. There is no shortage of bar dncers all over Thailand!

My guess is that they have no papers and someone is turning a very blind eye.

Of the police ever took a stroll down Soi VC, they could have a field day arresting all the locals.....????

My last trip to Pattaya I saw more than 5 prostitutes who were black from Africa or Uganda on the beach working there. So this is something the police are turning a blind eye to. Especially since several of them were working right across the street from that police station.

I sometimes sit at Simons Bar opposite Endorphin Nightclub, always foreigners working there handing out flyers and enticing Indians inside, police usually walk right past them
