Something worthwhile for all of us to donate a little of our time

Featured Replies

Questions seem to be continuously asked on TV and in everyday conversations about the Cost and Quality of Life etc here in LOS and other countries generally.

I am not sure if NUMBEO has been mentioned here before but I believe it could be a very useful resource for those asking some of these types of questions.

It can be a little light on respondent data which is why I am creating this post. It relies purely on data provided by users such as ourselves and includes no government data or input. You don't need to spend hours doing surveys either as you can do short surveys at a time whenever it suits you. As far as I am aware it doesn't annoy you by creating spam or other rubbish mailed to you (that I am aware of).

Any contribution you could make would be worthwhile to you and others.

More information on motivation for and methods employed by the site can be found at http://www.numbeo.com/common/motivation_and_methodology.jsp

Of more general (& brief) interest is the About page. http://www.numbeo.com/common/about.jsp

According to the site:

Numbeo is the world’s largest database of user contributed data about cities and countries worldwide. Numbeo provides current and timely information on world living conditions including cost of living, housing indicators, health care, traffic, crime and pollution.

2,221,856 prices in 5,569 cities entered by 258,619 contributors (information updated 2016-01-05)

If you haven't heard of it check it out. wai2.gif
