Driving license for motorbike: easier and cheaper

As of today, possessing a licence to drive a motorbike on Cambodia’s roads no longer requires a driving test. Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday announced the elimination of the test along with a decision to more than halve the cost of a licence in his latest move to curry favour with road users.

Licence fees will be cut from 60,000 riel (about $15) to 25,000 riel, he said, while motorcyclists will no longer be required to pass a driving test before being issued a licence. Hun Sen cited the ease of motorbike usage in explaining the elimination of the tests yesterday.
