Don't people buying tickets most always say something to the ticket seller?

Doesn't the ticket seller generally say something to the customer?

Many a time been to places and bought something where not a word is spoken , cant say I like it at all

i like it ...:)

no need for fake politeness imo

i would rather cut out the bullshit than have the fake greetings from a person

who is obviously pissed off with their job situation but has no choice but to work there ....

ymmv

I once took a Filipino friend to Doi Suthep. I told them to not say a word and just follow the non-paying Thai's. I showed my Thai drivers license and was also allowed in for free. I guess depending on the place, they will not check to see if an Asian looking person is Thai or not. .

I've done the same thing with Filipino, Japanese, Cambodian and Korean guests at The Grand Palace, Bangkok. They all got in free.

It's mostly based on a wide, general racial profiling--not exactly a foreign practice in this country.

So to you being polite is fake?

Do you prefer to be rude to everyone?

They can usually tell i can get in free or at a reduced price by looking at my driving licence

Yes

This thread is another example of farangs not understanding Thailand.

Anyone who has been here long enough knows how to tell a real thai person from another.

Here is the secret.. People from Thailand had a over extending thumb.

Its how all thais check if a person is really from thailand.
