GAZA, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Islamic Hamas movement said on Wednesday that it is ready to join a newly formed Palestinian unity government if it ends security cooperation with Israel.

Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas spokesman in Gaza, said in an emailed press statement that the conditions for his movement to be a part of the unity government are related to ending the Palestinian National Authorities (PNA)' policy of discrimination against Gazans, issuing proper political decisions that fit with their "sacrifices," as well as terminating security cooperation with Israel.

Yeah well, that's never going to happened as those to factions hate and distrust each other

with a passion, and everybody knows that Hamas has been trying to gain full control on the

PA, and if they can't do it by force, they will do it through the back door in a guise of unity....

The factions are no longer fighting for group autonomy--they are using other reasons not to find peace because it is a struggle for power in the government. The same in true in Washington DC altogether.

I wonder how the Palestinians can honestly negotiate with Israel when they cannot negotiate properly with their own

I had mixed feelings before about the whole Mideast situation I am now leaning more towards Israel
