mattk1
Hi everyone, So I'm in the process of getting all our documents together so that my wife can join me in Spain. I have read the FAQs regarding this and it has been most helpful however I'm still a bit unclear as to the process of what to do with our marriage certificate. I understand we must provide a copy of our Thai marriage certificate and it must be translated into Spanish too, but how about the legalisation process? If anyone has done all this recently I would be most grateful to hear from you as at the moment I'm unsure of how or where to complete these tasks in order to satisfy the Spanish authorities. Thanks in advance for any help :-)
mgb
Normally the spanish embassy in Bangkok do the legalisation for a thai certificate for a usage in spain. If a stamp from the thai MFA is needed beside the spanish translation you have to ask beforehand. Btw. your wife need a legalised marriage certificate in spain if she want to apply for a residence card for a familiy member of a EU citizen.
