Denpasar Consulate - is anyone alive there?

Featured Replies

Hi! Since two weeks I am trying to contact Thai Consulate in Denpasar. No one pick up the phone (I have tried for old and new number that I found on the internet) and no one answer for my emails. If not booked tickets already I would go to another place to apply for SETV. (I have never been to Denpasar before).

Maybe someone could advice me how can I contact them to ask about application procedure - if anyone managed to contact them at all.

I know basic procedure but I also read on the forum that for some time they requested bank account with 700US$ on it and onward ticket with payment confirmation. I need to know if I meet the criteria before I go there, so I could be prepared.

Maybe someone had similar issue and could give me advice? My questions to Thai Consulate in Denpasar below:

1. ONWARD TICKETS:

When I pay for ticket with credit card, something like payment confirmation will be on the credit card bill after I receive it. If I book ticket shortly before applying for visa I'm not gonna get any confirmations besides emails from the airline.

In that case, if I properly book fully refundable flexible economy class ticket and attach to the application all emails and attachments I will get fro the airline - is that ok and enough?

2. FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS: I always use pre-paid cards for traveling issued by bank in my country. I also have CitiGold bank account in a few countries but I'm traveling already so I can not take any statement from bank in my country. What kind of financial proof I should prepare? Here are my abilities listed:
a) printed screenshot from pre-paid cards balance (taken in online banking) with copies of cards and last ATM slip to prove that I have access to this money;
B) 700 USD in cash to present at the moment of application;
c) Copy of my CitiGold card (requirement to open CitiGold account is to deposit at least 80 000 USD)

Any advice from your experience guys? Thank you for any info.

Perhaps send a message to member vongbali who is the consul there.

Since you will only be getting a single entry tourist visa I don't think you will need all those requirements were for getting a 3 entry tourist visa.

You will only need one ticket out and that can be your e-ticket that confirms it is paid for.

If I recall correctly they will also bank statements for the $700.

Edit: Bank statements are mentioned in this topic. Changes to Tourist Visa Requirements At Consulate in Bali.

I did send a message to that user well before I sent and email to the consulate. There was no answer. I have these questions after I read all posts written by vongbali on the forum.

This 700 US$ as I assume is also required to apply for SETV. That is why I want to clarify. As I have no any problems with 700 US$ itself but I'm not sure if the form of proof is acceptable by the consulate.

Vongbali also written that payment confirmation for ticket is required due to many attempt of submitting fake or unconfirmed tickets.

They have a message on their twitter page that they would closed from the 24th to the 3rd so maybe they have been busy getting caught up.

Perhaps double check the phone number you have to been trying to call with the one on that page. https://twitter.com/RTCatDPS

I did try that number on the Twitter profile. I did what I could before I posted this :) Even second email asking if they receive my message at all. But no answer.

We'll see, but still maybe someone on the forum has better contact to the consulate than available online, or have some fresh experience that might help
