PATTAYA: -- A video was posted on Facebook over the weekend depicting an alleged assault on a foreign tourist on Walking Street, which prompted a Police investigation.

The incident occurred at 4am on 9th January in front of the Marine Discotheque on Walking Street and resulted in a French tourist being knocked-out by a group of Thai men who are thought to work as Security Guards at a venue close to where the attack took place.

Further investigations revealed the victim had not reported the attack, although the Guard who claims to have attacked the foreign man on the video, Khun Wuttipong aged 35, had reported the incident to Police as he claims the Frenchman head-butted a member of staff at his place of work prior to the altercation on the street.

Just another night on Walking Street and another day in Pattaya.

I saw 'Road House' with Patrick Swayze. The first rule of a bouncer is to 'take it outside'. This bouncer seems to know his business, well done Thai guy.

The bouncer is employed by the club. Once the matter is taken outside the bouncer is no longer acting as am employee and is therefore guilty of assault.

The job of a bouncer begins and ends at the front door.

Typical childlike cowards. wai2.gif

Animal pack mentality.

I have never seen a one on one in Thailand.

It appears to me, the frenchman was walking away.

If indeed there was an altercation, civilized people would call the police to sort it out.

...4 against 1...that's about right.....when you factor in race.....

...how sick and sad.....

...and....'no, never'.....or 'he started'.....

...figure it out...visible minorities...grossly outnumbered....little or no rights....

...and truth and honor and conscience are a handicap....

You're correct, they should have knocked the guy senseless INSIDE the club.

These little Hitler's are a nightmare. And they will never have a row face to (loss of) face!

Just don't go there , do not get silly drunk and attack a Thai , unless you have a death wish .

What ever happened to properly applied choke holds?

Choke holds can cause death if not properly applied. Especially if taken to the ground.

Look up positional asphyxia.

Mind you, getting kicked to the head isn't much better.

A commonly believed fallacy. Although I'm sure it's very different in Thailand, a bouncer by law, as a trained person/first responder, is responsible for everything within eye sight and the local amenity.

Also, if the guy has committed an indictable offense, the supposed head butt, he had every right to follow the perpetrator to attempt to restrain him (a citizen arrest) to detain him until law enforcement arrives.

But as seen, they totally failed at that part 55

Thai pride at its worst , they should be jailed cowards

liked the wording "ALLEGED" assault, when it is captured on video,ok so it never happened, its all fabricated,

by law? trained? first responder? responsible? citizens arrest? law enforcement arrives?

you are not in Kansas anymore. :) and pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Guy in white might have saved his life

Wow, you seem to proud of the bouncer, but as far as I can see it were bouncerS.

Of course, a one-to-one fight can only be found in a boxing-ring.
