Visa from Siem Reap, Cambodia

It it possible to get a visa in Siem Reap? A 60 day stamp? Or would I need go to Phnom Penh? US citizen.

If I get a 30 day entry visa landing in Bangkok, heading to Chiang Mai, can I get a 30 day extension for a total 60 days? Can this be done at CM immigration or would it require a border run?

Sorry, I'm sure this is covered somewhere in the forums but I couldn't find an answer. I did look.

You would have to apply for a tourist visa at the embassy in Phnom Penh.

You get 30 day visa exempt entry (not a visa). You can get a 30 day extension of a visa exempt entry at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

In Campodia it is common to use middleman to get thaivisa so

Siam Reap is o.k also if you feel comfortable to leave your passport to some travelagent to get this done.
