January 12, 201610 yr Khmer Times / Ros Chanveasna In an effort to improve the quality of education in Cambodia and the living conditions of its teachers, the government will universally raise salaries for the estimated 115,000 public school teachers across the Kingdom. According to Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron, the move will take effect in April. “For primary school teachers, the monthly salary will increase to at least $200, and high school teachers will increase to at least $250.
