Hi,

I am new to this forum. I am currently living in China (age 51, US citizen). I just checked to see if the Thailand Consulate in Hong Kong is issuing double entry tourist visas for Thailand. This is what they wrote to me:

Dear Sir,

You need to show us the confirmed round trips ticket for the double entries tourist visa.

The fee is HK$ 200 for each entry. The visa procedure will take 2 working days.

Best regards,

Thai Consulate

PS. You have to show us that you will visit some other country after the first visit to

Thailand and you will come back to Thailand once again.

Hope the information is clear for you.

So, it looks like you can get a double entry tourist visa from this consulate. You must show them that you have a flight (not train, not bus) ticket that will take you out of Thailand. I can tell you that staying in Hong Kong can be very expensive, but the flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong/Macau is currently inexpensive. If you go to Macau, you can take a high speed boat to HK for about US$26 (nice ride, by the way).

Best wishes,

JR

Oh, I always wanted to visit Hong Kong. If you could give some tips on travel accomodations and or general tips about it that'd be awesome.

I believe the PS makes it very clear that it will not be issued if they suspect you are planning to use the two entries to remain in Thailand. For genuine tourist travel yes. Will it be policed? Who knows.
