Switching Visas - Non-Imm B to Tourist - Visa Run help

Featured Replies

I currently have a non-immigrant B visa 3 months, this is the second one. Between the two I did a visa run to Penang. Now this is expiring but I'd like to stay in Thailand for a month to travel etc. Can I leave the country and come back in on a tourist visa? Can I fly out and come back in the same day? Could they reject me at the airport? Thanks!!!

No problem to fly out and back to get a 30 day visa exempt entry.

You don't need to fly out/in. You could do a border hop and many land crossings. Exit and immediately return.

You would get 30 days if from a G7 country. Otherwise it's 15 days. Visa exempt entries and be extended by 30 days at immigration (1,900 baht).
