NAN: -- Nan Irrigation Project has opened an over one Rai field of Cosmos Flowers for the public to visit as a new tourist attraction.

Project Director Chaiprasert Netanong personally planted the flowers late last year with the intention to have them bloom into a new travel attraction this year. The field boasts a range of colors of the blossom, including purple, red, white and pink and is currently in full bloom by the Nan irrigation project.

Nan is well known among travelers during the November through January period for its wealth of flora and attracts many flower enthusiasts who use the season as a photo opportunity.

Chaiprasert pointed out his field may remain in bloom until February of this year due to persisting cool weather. He noted that many of the flowers have begun to produce seeds and will likely propagate on their own.
