Polish murder suspect found working at SUBWAY - just YARDS from police HQ
By KIERAN CORCORAN

A MURDER suspect wanted by international police has been tracked down to a Subway restaurant just yards from a police station.

DEVIZES: - Piotr Kupiec, 28, was arrested at work in the sandwich shop, where he had been employed for years and often served local detectives their lunch.

The unassuming branch in Devizes, Wiltshire, was hit by an evening raid where Kupiec was cuffed and arrested in front of bewildered regulars.

Detectives in the rural market town were tipped off to the international arrest warrant - and found the man right under their noses.

The sandwich chain is on the same road as Wiltshire Police’s headquarters, and officers would have had to stroll just 270 yards to bring him in.

While there he would likely have spoken with unknowing officers and police workers while assembling their sandwiches.

It's a silly headline.

Why would a sleepy hollow like Devizes be aware of the photo identity of a suspected murderer in Poland? I wonder if the same police station know about the Thai guy in Krabi currently suspected of murdering the local lottery syndicate owner who never paid him his winnings.

Having had several dealings with Wiltshire police, this isn't surprising,

Not exactly the most competent or professional force in the UK.

Wonder who got them to actually do something?
