nabbie
Hi, advice please. I worry about CPU temperature 75C. Will that be a risk to PC? PC hardware uses Intel i3 core CPU, m/b Asus h61m-d, windows 7 64bits. Appreciate the response in advance.
DogNo1
What CPU cooler are you using? 75 degrees celsius is high. If it's under significant load, it's OK but for low load, you want a temp more around 45-50. Install speedfan (free) software and check out your various temps. You may need to change the airflow in you case or install a more efficient CPU fan. Tom's Hardware and Maximum PC have good writeups about CPU cooling. Check'em out. Tywais
If that is idle temperature then indeed it is too high. If under a stress test or heavy load such as gaming then that would still be slightly high. Lists of temperatures. Most Intel CPUs will shut themselves down if getting too hot. http://www.buildcomputers.net/cpu-temperature.html

Pib
The OP logged back on at 19:42 today, but I guess his post is not important enough to provide some more info/feedback. Edited January 23, 2016 by Pib
MAJIC
I assume your computer will be very slow due to overheating. If you can put another Fan or a larger one inside the case,it will stop the CPU from burn out,and the extra speed will be well worth the effort ! Langsuan Man
More importantly the OP does not tell us how he is getting his 75c reading ? Here is the software that I use http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.28.zip
