Exit And Re-entry Visa, Permit, Stamp, Whatever............

Featured Replies

Im going to Vietnam in Novenber and I curently have a non imm b visa and work permit. I have heard i have to get an exit visa before i go and a re-entry visa when i return. Where do you get them and how long before should i get it? Oh, has anyone got any info on ho chi minh, night life, discos, bars etc.....

What you need is a re-entry permit :o

Get it at the airport, or better, immigration BEFORE you leave the country. When you return put the permit number in the 'visa number' box on the arrival card.

IIRC costs 1000 Baht for a single re-entry or 3600 for multiple. You also need photos (1 or 2 not sure).

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

The above is correct, except the multi cost is 3,800 baht. But is only applicable if you are here on an extension of stay (not making 90 day visa runs). If you have a multi entry B visa you would just make another entry.

You can now do this all online and then when you turn up at immigration they treat you like a VIP and drop everything to get you through as quickly as possible and straight to the head of the queue you go too.

You can now do this all online...

Not now, because the Immigration website is down at the moment and appears to have been inaccessible for quite some time, without any indication when, if ever, it will become accessible again.

I have accessed it an hour ago with both Firefox and IE6 and just did again. It is up.
