15Peter20
Isn't this the kind of crime where the perp gets a suspended sentence because it was a crime of passion? You see, he wouldn't have done it if he wasn't angry.

EyesWideOpen
A bit odd. Can see shooting your wife if you caught her in bed with another man, but shooting your rental mistress seems pretty strange. Guess he, like many farangs , thought he was the only man in her life..... :-) Edited January 26, 2016 by EyesWideOpen

007cableguy
One of Thailand's finest !!! Says it all about RTP!! Could of been worse!, If it was his wife instead of his mia noi he caught out then he would of seriously lost face!! Prbkk
Thailand is the only country requiring police officers to buy their guns. They should be provided by the RTP and officers required to sign them in at the end of the shift..as happens in 99.99% of jurisdictions.

In the states off duty cops wearing guns are a major force for stopping crime. Here off duty cops seem to get drunk and shoot people, so probably a good idea to disarm them at the end of their shift...

He didn't call ahead to let her know he was coming .....wonder why .....perhaps he knew something was up and wanted to catch them in the act .....if so that would suggest premeditation. Well I would be pissed too then. Amazing how good Thai police are at managing money. Impressive to be buying a brand new car for the mia noi on a police monthly salary of somewhere around 12,000 baht.....
ratcatcher
Pattaya sure is a great place. That may well be your opinion of the place, but this incident occurred in Phanat Nikhom quite a distance from Sun & Sin City.

slapout
The bib seem to pick some real winners in their recruiting / hiring process. Seems quite frequently we hear about another bib loose with a full mag shooting at whatever has upset him. man, woman, child car, etc They must use a profile from the old west gunfighters / killers. The same kids that pull feathers from birds, cut leg off of frogs etc. the recruiters may have the same tendencies. The senior sargent major seems to be title that denotes they are reaching a point that they have little patientce with the family / public anymore.
