BANGKOK: -- An advisor to Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra has resigned from his post effective as of February 1 citing family feud in the Democrat party as the cause of his decision.

Pol Maj-Gen Vichai Sungprapai told the media on Wednesday that he felt frustrated with the conflict between the governor and the Democrat party which, he said, has rendered his work more difficult which will affect the people of Bangkok.

He said that several hard-working city officials felt discouraged when they saw some officials not working as they should or not serious about their work and some others were involved in corruption.

Despite his resignation, the advisor said he would continue to serve the people and this would depend on whether he would be given any assignment by the city administration. He also indicated he might play politics in the future.

"Despite his resignation, the advisor said he would continue to serve the people ..."

That makes perfect sense to me. He has resigned and he will continue to serve

his people. What was he ever doing collecting a salary for a job he could quite

easily do for nought that wasn't really his. Quite a stellar chap this one.

Good idea, play politics. It's easier than playing the drums, you don't need any talent.
