Window sliding sideways when selecting different browsers on MBPro

I have the new macbook pro with retina. One annoying feature is when I open Chrome and then maximise it using the green coloured button in the top left corner. Then if I hover over the mouse arrow at the bottom of the screen to open Safari, the chrome app will slide (disappear) to the right side allowing safari to open.

I prefer my old MBP where this does not happen and one app will simply overlap the other app.

Please provide a solution to this annoying apple feature

thanks

Go to System Preferences/Mouse and make sure that the first two options are unchecked (Swipe between pages and Swipe between full screen apps). That will solve your problem.
