I used a company called "Thai style UK" in November to get some documents translated for our FLR - You email them your documents and I got a certified copies posted back within 48hours. I cant remember what I paid thou (I opted for the premium service). They were accepted for the application

does it need to be authorized? its for a FLR

No.

For UK visa and leave to remain applications all that is required is that the translation contain:

  • confirmation from the translator that it is an accurate translation of the original document
  • the date of the translation
  • the translator's full name and signature
  • the translator's contact details.

This should suffice for all other purposes in the UK as well.

However, should you want to use the translation for a Schengen visa application then it will need to be legalised by the Thai MFA; and, as said, you can get that done at the Thai embassy in Kensington.

I don't know if any of the Thai consulates outside of London provide this service.
