Problem at Krabi airport

Featured Replies

Tried a fly out and in the same day but had problem at Krabi airport..Phuket - Kuala Lumpur - Kuala Lumpur - Krabi. Two offices at Krabi airport refused to stamp my passport into Thailand but the third officer said ok this time but don't do this again.I showed a flight ticket out of Thailand within 30 days and showed them 10,000b cash.I have only done one previous visa on arrival (30 days) in 3 years.

Interesting !

Were you aware that a "visa on arrival" is only available to citizens of a very few countries, costs 1000 Bht and provides for a stay of only 15 days ?

I pretty sure he meant a visa exempt entry. But then I'm switched on. You might try and be more open minded.

Upto a year ago, a buddy of mine had a whole string of one year multi-entry visas from Hull and Bali.

To get the visas he purchased his 3x return visa flights ( out of Krabi ) and a return ticket home.

Every time the he returned the immigration crew busted his balls, picked him out of the line as he left the plane, demanded proof of the funds, photocopied the serial numbers, took photos with his 20,000B laid out on the table.

It's not the first time Krabi airport have behaved in this way. Yet, if you shot down to Padang Bezar over 2 days, probably nothing would be said.
