True Move H asks police to investigate complaints that calls to its call centre intentionally disrupted

BANGKOK: The Consumers Protection Police Division was today (Friday) asked by True Move H Universal Communications Company (True Move) to investigate numerous complaints from its customers that their calls to the company’s call centre have been blocked, disrupted, intercepted or delayed.

A complaint was lodged with the police by True Move H represented by Mrs Supasorn Honechaiya.

After filing the complaint, Mrs Supasorn told the media that the company received many complaints from its potential customers who tried to call the company at Number 1331 to switch their network from AIS to True Move H.

However, they found that they could not contact the call centre because their calls were routed to AIS call centre, blocked or disrupted, said Mrs Supasorn.

She said the company sought police help to find out the truth about the complaints so that legal actions would be taken against the perpetrators if the complaints were substantiated.

She insisted that the company was duty-found to protect the rights of the consumers.

Never mind all that nonsense TRUE, your mobile internet speeds have been to sh1t lately. Last thing you need is more users!

The TRUE Visions on screen programme guide has just returned to normal after a couple of days of ' No Information Available ' on channel after channel.

And as far as programme guides go the TRUE magazine is a complete waste of time unless you're into glossy ads.

When I first moved here to Thailand I was stupid enough to sign for a 2 year contract on a post-pay SIM from True. I asked in the shop if True had coverage where I live (I don't live in a big city, it's really out in the sticks) and they said yes and showed me on a map. When I came home the SIM didn't work so the day after I went back to the shop and was informed that the map that they had shown me was for the planed coverage within 2 years. True refused to cancel the contract. One day some people from True came to my house as I had not payed my bills so I just told them that I did not know that I had bills to pay because I had not received any SMS bill, no connection to their network = no SMS = no bills. They canceled my contract that day when I demanded that they fixed my connection "problem" so that I could receive my bills via SMS...

We cancelled true-visions because there was NOTHING to see on their 300 channels, we had the most expensive membership....And that stupid remote is going under the carwheel today .

It was always a big pain to zap between our favorit channels, was it really too hard to design a good remote control?

When I moved about 3 years ago I decided I would keep my True Vision service ( somewhat reluctantly because it's pretty ordinary). The time came to move the service to the new condo and True tells me I can't have cable because the previous occupant hadn't paid his final bills and the address was blacklisted.

It took about 2 weeks before they acknowledged the lunacy of the situation and connected.

An embarrassment of a company.

Whatever all(...!?) of the 8 posters on this item, all(...!?) unhappy True customers, might be writing here about the company's various services, or the lack of such, may I point out this is NOT the topic of this article?

It seems to me like only ventilating theirpersonal issues with True could, maybe, who knows, intentionally take the focus away from today's topic: the illegal actions, allegedly(!) committed by AIS, in attempting to avoid its customers to switch over to True, or at least inform about it, by, abusively according to the rules of telecom's free communication, blocking or re-directing their calls to True's service center, which on top of it would(!) be a plain dishonest protectionist act, and be against the laws ruling over general commercial practices.

And yes, 'unanimity' on any question, does make me raise my eyebrows, there's always that odd smell to it, isn't it, the same one as with polls with an outcome of 90+%...?

By the way, my wife and myself have an Ais AND (more recently) a True mobile number, and don't live in a very densely populated are, but are going to cancel Ais.

Seen in prospective, in the end, this is a commercial fight between two mega-wealthy Thai-(!)Chinese families...

I bought a "True" internet sim for a tablet last year.

Couldn't get the damned thing to work, couldn't get any sense from their call centre, so I gave up, went to DTAC, worked perfectly straight away and has continued to do so ever since.

True is truly a bag of nails!

Have a closer look at Ais's 'business practices', towards its customers, you could eventully check on the company itself, its history, the reasons why and how it became big... (It's like a Thai 'lakorn', with Thaksin and his Shins as the 'baddies')
