October 21, 200619 yr A friend of mine had legitimate visa extenstions based on medical needs for many years. He has told me that it was quite simple and no one ever questioned him. He even mentioned: 1. My getting braces (teeth) not legs and showing medical follow-up each week to maintain my stay here. 2. Showing an MRI of my lower back to the government hospital and getting log-term physical therapy. This would be a little more legitimate. Are these absolutely silly or would they hold water??

I find that extremely difficult to believe, to the extent that it seems to sit in <deleted> territory. As ar as I am aware (could well be wrong of course), the maximum they will give you is 90 days for specific medical treatment.
