5,000 Baht Reward for Box of Murder Knives

A leaflet issued by Bang Chan police Thursday offers a 5,000 baht reward for anyone with information leading to recovery of a box containing knives allegedly used in a murder.

BANGKOK — Police today offered a 5,000 baht reward for a shoe box filled with knives they believe were used to dismember a Spanish telecom consultant.

Despite expressing confidence they have enough evidence to prosecute Artur Segarra for murder, Bang Chan police on Thursday issued a public plea for help finding the box believed to contain four or five knives.

Maybe not since this is Thailand we are talking about. Circumstantial evidence seems to be enough to get the death penalty. Even poor circumstantial evidence if you look at that kho tao case.

Sadly if the courts and authorities want him guilty he will be...not saying by the way he's not responsible just a comment on the belief that a good lawyer would have his case dismissed on the missing knives...He wouldn't if the powers that be want a result....

Step 1. Try to retrieve real evidence. Step 2. If no real evidence, make some.

I bet the knives are in that tin above the poster. If only the RTP had a single brain cell between them.

Actually thinking about it, the guy told his girlfriend not to look in the fridge, she told the police this and I bet they also haven't looked in the fridge.

I reckon the guy might well get away with it.

5000,Bht, will have to come from the money withdrawn from ATM's.

I cant but help admire the GF for her telepathic memory and visions into being able to tell police where the knives were abandoned, her knowledge of going to ATM's and seeing ART withdraw large sums of nothing, her Male friend also driving ART to ATM"s withdrawing large sums of nothing.

I think that her dissability of being deaf blind and dumb has assisted her in her non involvement in the case, not to mention the loot that she knows nothing about.

What a stingy reward out of several million BHT.

i don't think the police have enough dna I think if they can lay their hands on the knives finger prints and blood would supply them with sufficient dna providing they haven't been washed clean .

Also they say that police suspect Thais are involved also.?????????????

As always Chang_paarp.....why bother to read the full story.....it might slow you down being the first poster...plus you wouldn't be able to blame the Thai police...who never had the box in their possession if you did.

Always good to have the murder weapon. My guess the Knives are in the bottom of the river; where they found the body.

Is DNA also required to collect had 5000 baht reward... Or just the box with a few knives?
