moonseeker
Hi experts, Anybody knows where I can buy proper speaker cables in Pattaya. Mid-range price class for a: http://www.sound-republic.com/showdetail.php?bid=1&cid=5&pid=903 & Klipsch speakers. What type, dimensions would that take? Thank you all for some advise. JSixpack
You can pay a premium at Piyanas on Pattaya Klang: http://www.piyanas.com/?p=5115. Good quality no doubt. Or you can just go to Amorn in the basement at Tukom and buy a roll of standard 16-guage fairly cheaply. Various brands, plenty of it.

Langsuan Man
Don't waste your money on expensive speaker wire, what we commonly refer to as "lamp cord" works just as well. Many studies over the years have shown that expensive speaker wires, such as "Monster" brand are a waste of money http://machinedesign.com/blog/5-myths-about-speaker-wire or if you really want to get into the nitty gritty of speaker wire try this one http://www.roger-russell.com/wire/wire.htm

Thank you. Spent toooooo much on monster cables in my living room with a powerful system. No this time for the bedroom. Had a problem with a rather thick cable I bought @ Tukom with another system, no more sound on that speaker and cable-strands literally dissolved, not melted. powdery white.....weird..... No damage to speakers or receiver. This why wanted to be a bit better informed this time around. Thanks a lot for that interesting link. craigt3365
On Thepprasit, just past the gas stations on the right as headed to the beach, is a pretty good store with good quality wires.

Jdietz
Make sure they are extruded, not pulled wire. You will feel the difference (in your wallet). Don't fall for the scams. At these frequencies (audio) there is no measurable difference in anything lamp-cord sized and up for runs of a couple 100 meters or less.
