Bezpoleznyak
Could anyone give me the latest update of what the situation is with getting a driving license? I know in Phuket one has to wait for 2 months to take an exam. In Samui, is it in the same day?

PoorSucker
if I have only a stamp and no visa, is it still acceptable? You can probably get a temporary license, if they have not changed recently. Good news is that temporary license is valid for two years now. I've already had one, I've lost it in another country and besides it expired 2 years ago. So will I be like a first-time-comer?

Yes, start over again, but as long as you don't have 1yrs visa you will only get a chance temporary one.

Bezpoleznyak
Oh, God, I made him cranky. If I didn't ask my question, I'd think that in Phuket I could obtain a driving license in one day, whereas one has to wait for 2 months. And it's not written anywhere. So how about research and links to the official website?
