Getting to Sattahip from Pattaya

Featured Replies

Apart from a Taxi any suggestions to other transportation. Would need a gap of around 4-5 hours between going and coming back. Taxi crews asking for silly money because of the wait (fair enough)

Bus #48 on Sukhumwit Road (Hwy. 3). Second class bus, so last bus might be about 6 p.m. Ask the conductor.

Is it worth hiring a bike for the day 150baht.

Don't the white songtaews service the Sattahip Highway 3 route? While the light blue ones go inland somewhere?

Or is it vice versa?

Cheap as chips anyway and most are chock full or Russians so get on early as they mostly get on/off around the Ambassador area.

Surely a bike has to be the easiest way to do it.

Just hail any of the white Songtaews on Sukhumvit. Fare is 20 baht and they are regular through the day.

Thanks for reconfirming it's the white ones.

This is the OP's most flexible and cheapest solution.

For a little bit more, i think 30 baht, you can get there much faster and cooler (and back before 8pm) by waving down the white mini vans with orange writing on them on Sukumvit. Some might complain they are often dangerous and reckless.
