PATTAYA -- Pattaya Police were able to arrest the prime suspect in a burglary within hours of the crime occurring in the early hours of Wednesday at a Hotel in South Pattaya.

The incident occurred at the Chayapreuk Suites Hotel on the Sukhumvit Road in a room occupied by Khun Anupong aged 60, a Chinese Tour Guide, who was due to checkout of the Hotel later on Wednesday.

He told Police that he arrived back to his room in the early hours and went straight to bed but wanted to check messages on his phone, which he had left charging inside the room when he went out. He couldn’t find the phone and then searched for his IPad which was also missing.

I certainly would not leave my phone charging when I went out.

I also wonder if the Ipad was secured.

And the 40,000 Baht Gold Necklace, a gold amulet, 40,000 Baht and 10,000 Chinese Yuan in cash!

What a muppet!

Well done finding the thief.

Probably caught him using the 'Find my Device' feature in most smart phones

If they did I hope they keep it a secret as much as possible. Be wonderful to catch some more thieves the same method, keep them dumb as possible.
