Jai Dee
I want to buy a swimming pool cleaner. You know... one of those little plastic things that crawl all over your pool floor and up the walls and suck up all the dirt and leaves. I did some research on the 'net, and have decided on a Zodiac Baracuda Genie Series II. I could get one air-freighted in from Australia (AUD$599 + $125 insured air mail) but does anyone know of a local distributor? I have a fully tiled pool, so a smooth surface model would be required. Kiwi/Thai
There was a swimming pool crowd on display outside the entrance of Home Pro Phuket a wee while ago. Went to buy one a couple of weeks after first having seen them and they had sold out. The company was french Dej??? something. I think they were about TB3000. Good luck. I have found models from America but they are well over 30,000 baht. You can call phil at P&N poolshop and see how much he gets them for 01-004-4971. If you can get them from Australia let me know. I would be surprised if you could get it past customs without being taxed 100%.

Anything under 20,000 means you can go to the PO for pick up, and that sometimes means you don't pay anything...

Chaichara
Here is the "Leisure Vac" Much better than the more expensive brands.Works with inground and aboveground pools. PM me for more details. Where? try these - took just 30 seconds to look up in Google : (the full article is HERE) http://www.snapa.co.th/home.htm (Builder, supplier, importer. Most other swimming pool firms purchase from them. Large showroom and factory in Sukumwit somewhere near Eckamai. Vast stocks of materials too. Not cheap, but regular and highly recommended, will give big discounts on very large quantities, i.e. if you are a professional pool constructor or building a really enormous commercial pool). http://www.jdpools.co.th (builder) http://www.poolspa.co.th (builder, and manufacturer of a wide range of ABS and PVC fittings) http://www.swimmingpoolcenter.yellowpages.co.th (Funny Family Commercial pools, builder) http://www.srawainum.co (builder, dodgy quotations for farangs at 3 x the list price ! and a 'take-it-or-leave-it' attitude) http://phuketdir.com/valiantpools/index.htm (manufacturer, supplier. Est. 1995. Phuket only)

thailandnick
How well does it handle curved surfaces? hi there it handles all surfaces as the green ring is made flexi rubber and when contacts with the pool surface acts as a suction pad...
