M.R. Pridiyathorn will propose Budget Act of 2007 in Cabinet meeting

The Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula, will propose the draft of the Budget Act of 2007 at the Cabinet meeting tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister and Industry Minister, Mr. Kosit Panpiemras, will propose the drafts of different ministerial policies under the main policy of the government. They will then be declared to the National Legislative Assembly (NLA).

At the third Cabinet meeting under the interim Government of Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont, M.R. Pridiyathorn will propose the draft of the Budget Act of 2007, which has been adapted to the Sufficient Economy concept.

At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister and Industry Minister Kosit Panpiemras will submit the drafts of different ministerial policies to the Cabinet, and the policies will be declared to the NLA later.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Cabinet, Mr. Rongpol Charoenphan, will propose the selection framework of high-level executives and deputy executives of state enterprises, private organizations and government sectors. According to the regulation, the framework must be approved by the Cabinet.

The Secretariat of the Cabinet will propose the agenda account of the Cabinet meeting eight weeks in advance.

In addition, a report on the organizational structure of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC) will be informed at tomorrow’s Cabinet meeting.

Surayud denies planning to reshuffle Cabinet

Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont said Tuesday that he had no plan to appoint more members to his Cabinet.

"I have no such idea," Surayud said, adding that none of his Cabinet members want any helper.
