Hottest theory right now is South Africa, they where still under apartheid at that time and Sweden was supporting ANC with large sums of money (we are talking millions of $ over the years... about 50-60% of ANC whole budget!!!). Otherwise I would guess that it was a lone nutcase (or US as Sweden actually had quite good relations to the big bear in the east at that point!).
