Sawadee.com

Featured Replies

Hi there, has anyone use Sawadee.com lately for hotel bookings...any rating is appreciated.....it seems to have cheaper rooms than most websites..thanks wai2.gif

Not used them for a couple of years (been using mainly Agoda lately), but always found them fine when using them in the past. On the one occasion I had an issue (not their fault), their customer service comms were good. The rates they show as search results don't include the 17% ++, which is added at the booking stage (same as Agoda).

That has changed then, because in the past their rates were fully inclusive, which was one of the reasons I like to use them. And so far I have been happy.

Thought I was getting my booking sites mixed up for a moment then Steven. So I did a quick trial run on sawadee.com . The taxes are deffo added on after you click on a room rate to book it.

Yea, I've used them recently for a booking in January. Not too shabby and if you're already in Thailand the payment options are good (pay via ATM, 7-11, etc). Not my first time. It's a good option if you're already living in Thailand.

Prices can be better than the competition. I guess that's because they are based in Thailand, so it's a local company featuring local rates. Nonetheless, I always check across the board, not forgetting the hotel's own website and making sure to read up a review or three just to be safe.

No problem encountered so far.

Thanks all for the info and payment by ATM 7-11 thats what i like, beside the hotel i am looking for at BKK is 600-700 baht cheaper.

Used them last month, paid at 7-11. No problem and the price was right.

Last time I used them, they saved me a small fortune on two rooms booked out for a week at the Koh Chang Kacha (nice hotel by the way). But if there is little/no difference in rates, I normally use Agoda because they accept Amex and I can get a nice wad of Avios out of the deal.

Just checked. Selected dates and hotel, on the next page it comes: rooms available, roomrate excluding tax, number of rooms, roomrate including taxes. Amount for period of stay: 1,496 282 Baht tax total 1,778 Baht.

So nothing like the Agoda style where you don't see the final price till you confirm.

You had me confused again Steven, but I got to the bottom of it. On the Sawadee mobile website, you have to click on the + at the side of the room rate to get the bottom line price, which pops up in another window. But on the normal web page, the full rate is diplayed to the right of the advertised rate. Anyway, I think we're all agreed that Sawadee is a good service with good prices thumbsup.gif .
