Question on dates of 90-day reporting by mail

Featured Replies

March 18 is the 90-day reporting date for my O-A retirement visa. I want to do it by mail but now see the Thai immigration sites says, "Send the mail before the renewal date 15 days." It also says, "The notification must be made within 15 days before or after 7 days the period of 90 days expires."

So I'm wondering if I have enough time.

Do I have to post it at least 15 days before, or it must be received by them at least 15 days before?

Or is it actually 22 days? Is there a grace period of 7 days after the 90-day period expires?

Thank you for your advice..

  • You are ok to post it now.

The 7 day grace period is for reporting in person. If there is a problem with your postal report you still have time to report in person. Your report date counts as day 1 of the 7 days.

The crucial thing is that your mailed-in report is received by your local immigration office no later than 7 days before the due date.
