Ministry of Public Health to monitor hospitals' water management

BANGKOK, 3 March 2016 (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health has established a situation room to urge hospitals in drought-affected areas to conserve water. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has expressed confidence that the country will not experience a shortage of water for consumption water until July.

Permanent Secretary for Public Health Sophon Mekthon revealed that his ministry has established a situation room to monitor the drought’s effect on hospitals, urging all healthcare facilities to maintain their water reserves. The ministry will also conduct random hospital inspections to monitor the quality of the water stored.

Meanwhile, Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Gen Chatchai Sarikulya revealed after a meeting of the committee on drought-relief measures that assistance has been dispatched to 42 provinces and 152 districts in the form of water trucks and well-digging operations. Thailand’s four major dams currently have a combined 2.929 billion cubic meters of water, enough to sustain the country until July.

Deputy Director-General of the Public Relations Department Chamlong Singtongam revealed that he has tasked the department with promoting water conservation and to hold events to push for efficient water usage.

I don't know about you, but in our village, the hospitals don't spend money on landscaping.

Again, somebodies brother needs a job

And here I thought hospitals get priority access to electricity and water whatever the circumstance...
