BMA hands out assistance funds for victims of Ratchaprasong bombing

BANGKOK, 4 March 2016 (NNT) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has handed out over 1.8 million baht to those affected by the Ratchaprasong bombing incident.

A total 66 people, both Thai and foreign, received the assistance funds passed out by Bangkok Governor MR Sukumbhand Paribata and his deputy Pol Gen Assawin Kwanmuang.

The 66 comprised 38 Thai people and 28 foreigners who were injured or had lost a loved one due to the bombing incident that took place on August 17 2015. The total of the hand out was 1.82 million baht.

For foreigners no longer in the Kingdom, the BMA has passed on the funds via their embassies, which include the countries of Singapore, Malaysia, China, Japan and Indonesia.
