NCC1701A
photo caption: "Hello is this mike on? OK. You people in the white polo shirts and hats sort of like mine but not with as much stuff on them, Listen up. The next time Lao invades Thailand, your job is to drive your pickup trucks as fast as you can to the Lao border and set your trucks on fire. Understand? OK. Thank you and now lets all enjoy the show. We have some captured fishing boats from Cambodia and Vietnam with the crews still on board, and your navy is going to sink those ships for us today. It should be quite a show. And we have some slaves from Myanmar serving some traditional Thai seafood dishes for you. So enjoy the cheap fish as well. Thank you" Edited March 4, 2016 by NCC1701A

Rorri
National Defence Volunteer Day Now that the Royal Thai Military has forcefully drafted all of Thailand into its organization, the term Volunteer loses its meaning. Goes hand in hand with "National Submarine Day" with no submarines since 1951.

Perhaps you don't live here, or are recently arrived, there is NO volunteer defense force, they are conscripted.

Some very senior looking "Conscripts" in some of the pics going around!! Edited March 5, 2016 by beechbum
